The Metadata Professional Organization is pleased to announce the opening of board position nominations for the 2011 election. This is a full board election, so all non-appointed positions are open for nomination at this time.
Being on the board of the MPO is a great way to get involved in the metadata community: working with vendors, hosting webinars and conference calls with well-known experts, presenting to your peers at conferences and working on exciting industry analysis like MPO Membership Surveys and the upcoming Metadata Tool Functionality Matrix.
If you have expertise or interest in marketing, communications, accounting or other aspects of board membership and if you are an active metadata practitioner, an MPO board position would be a great way to increase your exposure, improve your networking and enhance your resume!
If you are interested, or if you know of someone who would be a good candidate, the nomination process is simple. Self-nominations are permissible, or you may nominate another member. Nominees must be members in good standing of the MPO at the time of their nomination, but there is no minimum length of membership. Nominees must also be approved by the current board.
To nominate yourself or another member for a position, email us or click here.
Nominations are due by March 1, 2010 in order to be included on the ballot. No write-ins will be accepted, so this deadline is important!
